Energy and Resource Efficiency for Ice Rinks

It's no secret that ice rinks are energy and resource intensive. With utility costs on the rise, effective and achievable solutions are needed to address this growing conscern and improve the bottom line.

Sustainability and Drinking Water

Jennie Moore, division manager, GVRD Strategic Initiatives, and Stan Woods, senior engineer, GVRD Regional Utility Planning Division
Jennie Moore will talk about the GVRD Sustainable Region Initiative (SRI) and the critical role it plays in managing our drinking water. Stan Woods will elaborate on how the SRI has impacted our Drinking Water Management Plan and what that means for Lower Mainland residents.
November Sustainability Community Breakfast Meeting

- Michael Geller, President & CEO of SFU's Community Corporation, on UniverCity
- Tom Osdoba, Manager of the City of Vancouver"s Sustainability Group, on the City’s approach to encouraging sustainable development

Climate Change, the BC Sustainable Energy

Habitat JAM

The JAM provides a unique way for grassroots sustainability activists from all over the world to share ideas and to influence the agenda of the World Urban Forum in Vancouver next June.
