For more than thirty years, the Canadian Environmental Network (RCEN) has been facilitating networking between environmental organizations and others who share its mandate - To Protect the Earth and Promote Ecologically Sound Ways of Life. The RCEN works directly with concerned citizens and organizations striving to protect, preserve and restore the environment, and to affect how society thinks about environmental issues.

To celebrate the 2010 International Year of Biodiversity (IYB), we've launched a new webpage that features a regularly updated news feed, with the latest information from Environment Canada, the Convention on Biological Diversity and more. The new website also includes links to biodiversity and IYB-related information, educational resources and materials produced by the RCEN, such as the Biodiversity Best Practices Handbook.
