Registering - Login ID & Password

Q I tried to register with your site and I used the same password to verify, but a message came back that I did not enter the same password to verify. I tried to re-enter, but it came back the same. I tried to change the password slightly, and the message came back that someone had already used my login ID. Were you experiencing a problem, or is it a glitch in the system?

Q I am attempting to complete the form to receive your newsletter, but I have not had any success. I type my name and a password, then I try to login. I get a "Failed to login" message. I would like to receive the ECOBC newsletter, but is there a problem with the Web site?

Q I can't seem to be able to login to your site as a member. Would you remind me how I am registered with ECOBC? I tried to login as a member, but it failed numerous times. Is the login case sensitive?

Q I recently registered with your Web site, and I have forgotten my login ID and password. Should I register again, or is it possible for you to e-mail me my information?

Q I would like to get involved with ECOBC, but my login ID and password are being rejected. What should I do?

A Some things to remember about your login ID and password are:

- Both are case sensitive and have to be entered exactly as they were registered.

- There can be no spaces or symbols in your login ID or password.

- Your e-mail address can not be used as your login ID or password.

- If another registrant is already using the login ID or password you've selected, you will be notified to change your selection. In this case, you should notify the ECOBC designated liaison person in your organization and e-mail ECOBC network@bcen.bc.ca

- If you have forgotten your password or are having trouble logging on, e-mail us at editor@bcen.bc.ca and we can notify you of your login ID and give you a temporary password that will allow you to change your password, e-mail address, or other registration information according to your preferences.

Q How do I change my login ID?

A To change your login information and password, go to "Bookstore." Then click on "Members," which will bring you to the login screen. Use your login ID and password to log in. Then, return to the "Bookstore" and click on "Members." When you click on "Update Your Account," the screen will come up with all of your registration information. You can then change any information you need to. When finished updating your registration information, click "Submit" at the bottom of the page.

Some tips to remember:

-The login ID and password are case sensitive.

-There needs to be no spaces within the login ID or password.

-Be sure to remove all asterisks before entering new passwords.

-Use letters and numbers—not symbols.

-You MUST fill in all fields with red asteriks — they are required so that all information will be accepted.
